During 2008,
Bria performed at 28
different venues, to audiences as large as 18,000.
She appeared on TV, was written up in several
magazines,
performed for the
Norfolk Admirals, Richmond Renegades and the Washington Redskins, and
also appeared singing live in both Hampton
Roads and in Nashville! She met Taylor
Swift, Sara Evans, Travis Tritt, Heidi Newfield, Blake Shelton, Drew
Davis, Tracy Lawrence and Lycrecia Williams (Hank WIlliams, Jr.'s
half-sister). And the White House wants her to sing
for them at some point in the future! Not bad for
a 13-year-old!
To
all Bria's fans, her mentors, and to all those who
have helped Bria in any way, we thank you - your support is
truly
appreciated, and you
know who you
are. Bria is on her way to
becoming an accomplished musician and vocalist who
brings goosebumps to her audiences wherever she performs.
And
that is truly rare for a young songstress in today's world of
teen-oriented music, where the mundane seems to reign supreme.
Bria wants to be known as a true musician, and
nothing less.
Along with some fun songs, she also wants to deliver serious,
heart-felt "music with a message" and well-known classics,
with as
much emotion and finesse as she can give each and every one. And her
voice was built just for these types of music!
Bria
is now writing her own music since taking up playing the guitar, and is
receiving lessons from one of the best and most well-known guitarists
in
the Hampton Roads area. Her prowess on guitar is developing
rapidly, and she will soon be able to accompany herself when she takes
to the stage.
And
Bria's vocal perfomances continue to earn her invitation after
invitation to perform at other venues. The president of the
Virginia State Fair, upon hearing Bria sing at the Richmond Colisuem
for the Renegades, has invited Bria to be a part of
the State
Fair in 2009. She will be performing in 2009 at Richmond
International Raceway for an upcoming NASCAR event (she was invited to
perform at RIR in 2008, but we had to turn it down since she already
had another venue booked that day). She has been acknowledged
by
the White House to be on the "short list" to perform there.
Her
many performances at the Navy Summer Concert Series in the
Hampton
Roads area has opened up several new doors for her. Her
recent
'bring the house down' performance at the Cadillac Ranch in Nashville
has resulted in a shot at performing at the world-famous Wildhorse
Saloon (home of the auditions for CMT's "Can You Duet") on our next
trip to Nashville! And of
course, there are the numerous national sports teams, sporting events
and contests which Bria will be involved with during 2009.
Whew!
It's just plain hard keeping up with this kid!
Bria thanks
ALL who have supported her in 2008, and she looks forward to a
great 2009, with some new twists! Stay tuned to this web site
